Infection Prevention and Safety Initiatives

The basic policy for classes in 2023 is that they be held in-person as much as possible, as we continue with measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, as we try to make classes as safe as possible, with the exception of seminar rooms and computer rooms, for the first semester we will reduce the number of students in classrooms to half, and some classes will be conducted on demand, with pre-recorded lessons for students to take at home according to their schedules. The policy regarding classroom capacity for the second semester will be decided based on the ongoing infection situation and other factors. Beginning this year, in principle classes will be conducted in-person, but students who have concerns about in-person participation should contact the Academic Affairs Center. University staff are also conducting health consultations for international students who are considered about their health and safety.
